Atal Pension Yojana
1. Launched in 2015 to create a
universal social security system for all Indians, especially the poor, the
under-privileged and the unorganized sector workers.
2. It is controlled by the Pension Fund
Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) through the National Pension
Scheme (NPS).
3. The scheme is open to all bank
account holders in the age group of 18 to 40 years.
4. Minimum contribution period under the
APY is 20 years.
5. The contribution to the scheme
depends on the pension amount chosen.
6. Subscribers shall receive guaranteed
minimum monthly pension of Rs. 1000-Rs.5000 at the age of 60 years.
7. Contributions to APY can be made on a
monthly/ quarterly / half-yearly basis.
8. Voluntary exit from APY is also allowed.
Rozgar mela
1. An event where a number of employers
and job seekers come together for the purpose of applying and interviewing for
jobs.
2. It entails an employment strategy to
quicken the meeting of job seekers and employers.
3. Held in large assembly halls ranging
from 5 – 100 employers with many hundreds of job seekers.
4. It serves as a potential contribution
event for employment generation
5. Recruitments will take place across
several Central Government Departments and state Governments/UTs
6. The newly inducted appointees can
train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOTKarmayogi
portal where 580 e-learning courses are made available.
